It's partly my fault for getting lax, letting my guard down, and not hiding my car, like I read I should have.  Nevertheless, with my first AFV, I did everything almost right except I misplaced my certified mail slip.  Now, the only proof I have is the receipt from purchasing the certified mail stamp with a debit card, what a combination to bring up in court?  I've been reading about sending them a notice of dishonor, and an affidavit of truth, because my witness saw me mail it to them.  The servicing company never responded in any way or acknowledged receiving it.   I sent another AFV plus a promissory note, yesterday, which I double-checked to make sure I put all of the  proper endorsements, and double-checked to make sure I put the certified mail receipts away where I could find them.  Needless to say, this has been a hard lesson to learn.  I intend to make an affidavit of truth, in regards to me sending them the AFV by certified mail.  Is there anyway I can get my car back even if they redeem the AFV, plus promissory note? It's like I double paid them.  I had read if they improperly take possession like they did, I could fight them administratively through the Secretary of State, and they would have to pay damages? Can you elaborate on that?
