Purpose of Sending BC Bonds to Treasury

I've completed my SPC paper work and sent copies to 26 agencies and received my green cards on all. the next step is to send my BC, setoff and Indemnity bonds to the Treasury....what does that do? What results will I see after the 30 day maturity?
