Should i take the Certificate of Citizenship Oath ?

hello. I came to the us legally with a permanent resident alien green card when I was 7yrs old. My parents naturalize n became citizens before I was 18 making me a derivative citizen with a us passport. SO Department of state has my status as a us citizen because of the passport however when I call immigration,dhs and social security they have my status still as a permanent resident alien. Should I take the oath n get a cert of citizenship or will that make me a 14th ADM citizen?
