SS# for Trust Account @ PNC?

I tried to open a trust account at my local PNC and she asked me for my SS# to open the account, I have an EIN and even gave her a copy of my confirmation letter. She said "because of the patriot act blah, blah, blah". The first thing you're told when issued a SS# is DON'T use it for ID. Also after the administrative filing (SPC) I'm not even supposed to use it right? What if any are the proper steps to open an account w/o an SS#. Thank you for your consideration.
