California Misdemeanor traffic violations

So here’s my situation I have two cases with Driving on a suspended charges. I have one tomorrow. I did initially accept a public defender.. I latter began finding out all this information. 1.) can I keep public defender and still try to challenge the courts jurisdiction by doing what the video says on establishing legal intent says? 2.) If I dismiss my Public defender can I still challenge the courts Jurisdiction by establishing legal intent? 3.) If you reference a case like a Supreme court ruling (SHUTTLESWORTH V. CITY OF BIRMINGHAM, 373 U. S. 262 (1963): “If the State converts a right (liberty) into a privilege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right (liberty) with impunity.”) how do you find and print the Whole case to present to the judge?
